Passing of Past Chief - Past President Adolph W. Poppe Jr. - Station 15

It is with a heavy heart that the Delaware City Fire Company announces the passing of Past Chief - Past President Adolph W. Poppe Jr. "Junior" as we all knew him by was a 56-year member serving in so many capacities for our Fire Company ranging from Rescue Captain, Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief and Chief in 1982. He served as a Board of Director, Secretary, Vice President and President in 1967. He was currently serving as one of our Fire Police - 15-9A since the early 1980's. Funeral arrangements are in the planning stages and we will have them posted as soon as they are finalized. Please keep his wife Olive and her family in your thoughts and prayers. On behalf of the Poppe Family we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all of you who have been so supportive to the family and fire company during these rough times.
