On April 5, 2023 at just at 7am, Delaware City and Port Penn were dispatched to Route 1 Northbound just South of Route 72 for a truck fire. Crews arrived to find a pickup truck involved and quickly extinguished the fire. There were no injuries.
The overnight hours were very busy including a fatal motorcycle crash, two structure fires, and two medical emergencies.
