TRACTOR TRAILER FIRE - Route 1 NB in area of Schoolhouse Road

At 21:23 hours, the New Castle County Communications Center dispatched stations 15 and 3,6&12 for a tractor trailer fire Route 1 NB in the area of Schoolhouse Road.  A-15 (Hart and McMichael) arrived on scene advising trailer involved and requesting fire police.  Engine 15-5 with Deputy Chief Finnegan in command arrived and placed 1 line in service, also requesting a tanker to respond.  Station 29 was alerted for Tanker 29.  Engine 15-4 with Chief Rosseel in command and Engine 3-5 arrived and assisted with extinguishement and overhaul.  Deputy Chief Finnegan placed the scene under control at 21:31 hours, cancelling Tanker 29.  Quick knocked down of the fire saved the frozen chicken breast that was being hauled.  Scene turned over to DSP.
