DCFC Hosts Annual NCC Fire Service Installation Banquet

On Thursday, December 14th, the Delaware City Fire Company hosted the Annual NCC Fire Service Installation Banquet.

Our Ladies Auxiliary assisted by the Christiana Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary served a delicious meal and were recognized with a standing ovation by those in attendance.

This year we have 3 members who are serving in additional capacities in the New Castle County Volunteer Firefighters Association.

Life Member Jim Watson was installed as President.  In doing so Jim joins Vincent Catts, Jasper Lakey and Wally Poppe as serving as President of the Association.  Life Member Deb Watson was once again installed as Secretary, a position she has served in for over 15 years and Chief Wally Poppe was installed as Treasurer. 

We also had a couple members recognized by the County Association.  Secretary Deb Watson was honored with the Harold "Sonny" Wilkins Longevity Award for all of her years of service.  Chief Wally Poppe was honored with the Louis J. Amabili Memorial Firefighter of the Year Award.

Congratulations to Jim, Deb and Wally for being installed as Officers and their awards.
