Gallery - Delaware City Fire Company - New Castle County, Delaware

On Saturday, May 22nd, 2010 – The Delaware City Fire Company sponsored the Second Annual Michelle Smith Memorial Softball Tournament at the Delcastle Recreation Center. There was a total of thirteen teams from the tri-state area that participated in this one-day tournament. Congratulations and special thanks to all the teams that participated. At the end of the day the top three teams of the tournament included – the Delaware Association of Police, Talleyville Fire Company & Cecil County EMS. In addition, the Goodwill Fire Company of New Castle was chosen and received the “Sportsmanship Award” for their participation and sportsmanship throughout the day.

The Officers & Members of the Delaware City Fire Company would like to offer our sincere appreciation to New Castle County for their generosity for use of the fields as well as all the “volunteer” umpires that were utilized for each of the games. All funds raised from the event will be placed in the trust fund for Michelle’s daughter.

In closing, a special thanks to the members of the Delaware City Softball Team for making this event a reality in Michelle’s honor.
