Last night we welcomed Elizabeth Brode to DCFC to give a presentation entitled, "The Victims We Encounter".
At approximately 4pm on Wednesday March 13th, Good Will and Delaware City Fire Company along with resources from New Castle County Paramedics, Delaware State Police Aviation Section, and Port Penn Volunteer Fire Company responded to a motor vehicle accident with entrapment on River Road at Hamburg Road.
On February 27, 2024, at 4:21am, Delaware City Fire Company was dispatched to assist Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder Company with a residential structure fire in the 200 block of Emma Way in Glasgow.
On February 20, 2024, at 8:04 pm, Delaware City Fire Company and surrounding departments were dispatched to the unit block of North Dragon Drive in the Kingsmill Trailer Park for a residential structure fire.
In November, Delaware City Fire Company announced the purchase of specialized trauma kits for each piece of apparatus in order to be better prepared for violence-based responses. Now, thanks to a generous donation from the Delaware City Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, ballistic armor and ballistic helmets have been purchased and placed on each piece of EMS and fire apparatus.
On Sunday, February 11, 2024 at 11:45 pm, Delaware City and Port Penn Fire Companies along with Rescue Boats from Delaware City, Port Penn, and Goodwill, the New Castle County Surface Water Rescue Team, New Castle County Dive Team, Delaware State Police Aviation, and New Castle Paramedics were dispatched to the Chesapeake & Delaware Canal in the area of the Reedy Point Bridge for a sinking vehicle with entrapment.
